I stand by what I’ve writ­ten, Sonia Sotomayor is not qual­i­fied to sit on the Supreme Court or on the Appeals Court, where she is now employed. It is pathetic to see the White House say she is quoted out of con­text when her words were part of her pre­pared remarks, spo­ken, then used in sub­se­quent jour­nal arti­cles under her name. Out of con­text? And now Lanny Davis says her com­ments are “being mali­ciously mis­used.” Okay, point­ing out that some­one is racist may be, in Al Gore’s word­ing, ‘an incon­ve­nient truth’, but how can point­ing out that by her own words she is a racist be mali­cious? Are we to excuse her racism because it might embar­rass her?!

Sonia Sotomayor is not qual­i­fied to sit on the Supreme Court as she is a self-​proclaimed dis­crim­i­na­tor based on race, eth­nic­ity, and sex. She is well-​documented claim­ing that as a “Latina woman” she makes bet­ter con­clu­sions (as a judge) than does a white male. No polit­i­cally cor­rect gym­nas­tics or affir­ma­tive action guilt trip can erase the fact that Ms. Sotomayor clearly states that she finds it accept­able to use racism, eth­ni­cism, and sex­ism in her decision-​making.

Racism, eth­ni­cism, and sex­ism is not rel­a­tive and not okay from some peo­ple and not for oth­ers. A sim­ple test, are all of the fol­low­ing accept­able? If any of the fol­low­ing are not accept­able, then I sug­gest that none are.

• As a Latina woman I would more often than not reach a bet­ter con­clu­sion than a white male.
• As a Latina woman I would more often than not reach a bet­ter con­clu­sion than a black male.
• As a white male I would more often than not reach a bet­ter con­clu­sion than a black male.
• As a black male I would more often than not reach a bet­ter con­clu­sion than a white male.
• As a white male I would more often than not reach a bet­ter con­clu­sion than a white female.
• As a white male I would more often than not reach a bet­ter con­clu­sion than a Asian male.
• As a Euro­pean female I would more often than not reach a bet­ter con­clu­sion than an African female.
• As a Catholic female I would more often than not reach a bet­ter con­clu­sion than a Jew­ish female.

In my opin­ion, none of these are accept­able – race, eth­nic­ity, and sex have no place in decid­ing who makes bet­ter deci­sions. This is not Amer­i­can and does not reflect the val­ues that most of us expect of our­selves and our fel­low cit­i­zens. Not only does Sonia Sotomayer dis­qual­ify her­self from the Supreme Court, but also from her cur­rent seat on the Appeals Court. She should resign or be impeached.

Israel’s mur­der­ous reign of ter­ror on Pales­tini­ans is a war crime that under­mines Israel’s legit­i­macy. In my opin­ion, the state of Israel as it cur­rently exists and acts is a pariah state that should be iso­lated and dis­man­tled — begin­ning with the end of all Israeli occu­pa­tion of lands out­side its 1948 bor­ders and end to any and all actions to con­trol land, air, and sea access to Pales­tin­ian lands. Fur­ther, Israel must end its apartheid rule against its non-​Jewish res­i­dents and honor the right of return of all fam­i­lies who fled or were dri­ven from their homes when the Jew­ish state was cre­ated. Finally, Israeli lead­ers who have the blood of war crimes on their hands should be arrested and pros­e­cuted for their actions. Until these steps are taken, it is my rec­om­men­da­tion that no nation, com­pany, or indi­vid­ual should have any deal­ings with the state of Israel or its cit­i­zens, lest they be guilty of facil­i­tat­ing and sup­port­ing Israel’s war crimes.

As for the United States, Israel aggres­sion, oppres­sion, and war crimes do not reflect our val­ues, nor serve our inter­ests. Enough is enough — No more money, no more weapons, and no more sup­port. Period.

And a thought about Pales­tin­ian resis­tance. Any resis­tance is legit­i­mate and is no less than I’d claim if I were in their aggrieved posi­tion. Finally, whether Pales­tini­ans ulti­mately choose to rec­og­nize Israel or not is a ques­tion best left for the future as Israel does not deserve recog­ni­tion today.

Update: I guess I won’t be writ­ing any more diary entries or com­ments at Red​State​.com. It turns out that Red​State​.com is as opposed to dis­cus­sion and dif­fer­ing view­points as are the Obama Cult (Talk​ing​PointsMemo​.com) and the PC crowd (NoQuarterUSA.net) — in their case, Red​State​.com edi­tors responded with quick calls of anti-​semitism instead of racism but it is equally uno­rig­i­nal, untrue, and deroga­tory. In response to an pro-​Israel pro­pa­ganda post I shared that I did not agree with the writer’s knee jerk sup­port and shared my above opin­ion. The result was that I was almost imme­di­ately banned. Not only that, but RedState’s edi­tors trashed my com­ment. Ban­ning is one thing as it is their Web site, but to edit and trash the com­ment while still leav­ing my name on it is not only dis­re­spect­ful but shows incred­i­ble immaturity.

Several weeks ago Barack Obama smoothly explained to “Joe the Plumber” that he wanted to spread Joe’s wealth around (See Barack Obama Meets “Joe the Plumber”). He advo­cated tak­ing the wealth of suc­cess­ful Amer­i­cans and giv­ing it to oth­ers as the gov­ern­ment saw fit. Barack Obama intro­duced a hereto­for unseen side of his ideology — Marxism.

When asked on Good Morn­ing Amer­ica (Octo­ber 24, around 2 min­utes), Barack Obama said he did not regret his ‘spread the wealth’ com­ment. Why should he? His social­ist and Marx­ist past and ide­ol­ogy is com­ing into sharp focus and out-​of-​the-​closet so-​to-​speak (See, for exam­ple, my arti­cle, Obama is Hid­ing a Rad­i­cal Past). Past com­plaints about Obama not hav­ing any dis­cern­able ide­ol­ogy can now be firmly laid to rest.

In a 2001 pub­lic radio inter­view (see below the fold), Obama clearly faulted the Supreme Court for not rein­ter­pret­ing the U.S. Con­sti­tu­tion to force redis­tri­b­u­tion of wealth and faulted the civil rights move­ment for not doing more “polit­i­cal and com­mu­nity orga­niz­ing and activ­i­ties on the ground.…to put together the actual coali­tions of power through which you bring about redis­trib­u­tive change.”

Obama aligned him­self with a social­ist party in 1996 and has long­stand­ing ties to Marx­ists (e.g., Bill Ayers, Mike Klon­sky) who have a record of attack­ing the United States.

In about one week the Amer­i­can pub­lic will have a choice of vot­ing for Barack Obama, a man with per­sonal and pro­fes­sional ties to peo­ple espous­ing Marx­ist and social­ist ide­olo­gies, or John McCain, an Amer­i­can patriot who has fought Marxism.
